    Default Rene Herse Nivex Fixture

Has anyone built a frame to use the new Rene Herse Nivex system? How was your experience? What's the dummy axle compatibility?

I ask because I'm thinking of modifying a Surly Grappler to use this system. Mostly because it's different, but also because it represents several design ideals.

Curious what you think those are, for $900+- I hope they are significant.

No batteries and twice as much cable.

I might be cracking wise, but I'd really like to put a bike together with one of those derailleurs my own self.

I was hoping to hear about personal experiences with it, instead of justifying why I appreciate the design. Their site has all the details on it.

It's an extremely niche product with a tiny viable market, so the price seems perfectly reasonable. I don't really know what you're trying to imply.
