I'm digging Rapha's core. Bright color options at a price I can stomach.

Core Jersey | Rapha
Since you hid this Rapha thread I'll give it 7 pages before di sea tea hits the lock.
OK, seriously then. It looks to be a step below classic in fabrics and fit. Not by much but enough to point at an affordable option. Anyone already swimming in a classic jersey need not apply.
Welcome to RAPHA'S Outlet Mall line!
I would be interested to know how it compares to the other lines?
just from that photo, it looks like the materials are stretched/folded to meet the zipper at the bottom while the other models on their page don't do that.

meh...
Reviews are rolling in.
Lesson: If you insist on hiring brand evangelists you have to expect every clear minded person to attempt poking holes in your theology. That and your largest financial contributors feeling blasphemed by a devotion of resources towards unworthy heathens.

Here's the story of Core - including a brief interview with our Head of Design.
The fit is similar to our Classic products, but the raglan-sleeve construction and nature of both jersey and bib materials allow many customers to size-down for a 'Pro Team'-type fit.
Obviously there are critical limits to this, such as your height and/or the girth of your neck. It's an impressive kit though, and stands up to very close scrutiny.
We have the full Core range in stock at our brand-spanking-new CCNYC location in SoHo, which opened yesterday. Feel free to drop by for a try-on.

Thought I was looking at a Search and State promo from a year or two back. Quite the lineup in that first photo.
Glad the condescendi are meh about the core-porate friendly line. Waiting to see a picture of some rail thin lanky pro looking relaxed in it (as opposed to a collection of sharp angles) before I consider ordering.
After acknowledging this spring that my pile of old team kit is showing it's age and struggling to get excited about renewing my relationship with a Champion Systems chamois, I picked up a bundle of the Core stuff on the spring sale.
I get the hate, but I don't have the hate. My impression is that it's a stunningly good value, especially the bibs. Good enough that I'm sending the Assos bibs back that cost over twice as much.
Regarding the fit:
My impression is that the bibs are normally sized, but the jersey could be sized down. At a tad under six feet and 175, I ordered a large in both the jersey and bibs. I'm going to get another bundle before the spring discount is up, and I'll still go with large bibs, but a medium jersey. The fit is definitely an "everyman" shape, without being old school, Primal Wear club cut.
* its age. More coffee needed.
For what it's with and somewhat related, I just picked up a pair of the new Brevet and new Pro Team bibs with a coupon. They are both excellent and much preferred (for me) to any of my other high end shorts.
The chamois in the Brevet bibs is cushier, and dries faster (super-useful for camping/overnights). It's definitely a bit thicker, though they're both pretty great even after a half-dozen hours in the saddle. The Brevet bibs fit a bit shorter on the quad, and have a tight, nicely-grippy band as opposed to the longer and flatter powerband on the Pro Team bibs. The other big difference I notice is that the Brevet bibs are higher in the front, so pee-breaks are a bit odd but I won't get into the details on that. The fit of the straps on the Brevet bibs is also excellent; airy and snug at the same time. I'm a huge fan of the Brevet bibs.
"Do you want ants? Because that's how you get ants."
Pretty much what this guy said.
I'll add that the Pro Team leg gripper band that is now wide and flat as opposed to the thinner band on the previous version is a big improvement and greatly decreases sausage leg. The Brevet chamois is excellent and was instantly comfortable. Would (and most likely will) buy again.
Hey guys, longtime user of the Pro Team bibs. Is the Brevet chamois 2-piece (i.e., split down the middle) like the pro team chamois?
