    Default SisterBrotherHood of Coffee

Not limited to pictures of your Coffee habits, local cafes and sorted supplication to the almighty bean.
Also, helping others with the addiction be it trading beans, equipment or (AHEEM) sending a brother a bag of beans when his coffee roaster is busted...woulda been nice ;)

    Busted Coffee Roaster Update

My coffee roaster is back in business. For how long is anyone's guess, it's a bit of a Frankenstein unit. One of the power leads looks like it succumbed to heat and oxidation. Not sure what genius used aluminum fittings there hmmmmm.

I'll be back with some pictures. Talk among yourselves.

sorry to hear, im about to go roast some on the Behmor. Just ordered a Guatemala Geisha and Ethiopia Guji from sweet marias. Ill send a brotha a bag when i dial in. ive been working through some samples, and none save a decent Burundi did anything for me. drinking the last of some mediocre Papua New Guinea now. So tired of mediocre coffee. that's why i got the Guatemala Geisha, should be a spectacular one!

You sprung for the Geisha eh? We all want to hear about that.

Thanks for stepping up. I re-wired my roaster yesterday and it is working again.

Let's keep passing along the good will.

The geisha and Guji are outstanding. The Geisha is better for what it is, but i still prefer the bright fruitiness of the Guji.

Th Geisha is very much the way its described. delicate flavors, complex cup, really smooth mouth feel. balanced acidity. all of the good things about a nice Guatemala, just better.

But i love a bit of the bright and acidic, in your face rotten fruity, wonderfully dank ethiopians. the shop i roasted for once got this batch of ethiopia that had an overripe banana thing going. i found it amazing, but a few of our customers returned it saying ti tasted rotten. i wasn;t allowed to buy a 3rd or 4th bag. so i reserved it for special orders only and drank a lot of it myself, haha.

You're on the Ethiopique, right? How are you roasting that?
