    Default Super bowl

Was hoping to see the packers.
    Bad end for them today.

As a Seahawk local, that was a painful and comic experience. I'm not sure I have ever seen a more unlikely outcome. They may need another cup of coffee before the Super Bowl kickoff. They cannot be sleepwalking for 3+ quarters on offence against NE.

    I can’t believe the Packers lost…

Seahawks vs Pats should be a great game!

I hope Sherman isn’t hurt too badly, as I want him on the field when Brady wins his 4rth ring!

Should have been the Ravens in the AFC championship game...but didn't work out that way. Wanted the Packer in the SB...we'd have a decent chance of beating them. No way NE beats Seattle unless the Seahawks show up and have a really bad day at the office....which I think is unlikely. Nobody will be happier then me to be proven wrong about the SB outcome...but I gots a bad feeling.

WE will see what happens but the Hawks were terrible yesterday for most of the game and will only move on cause of a couple of most unlikely events.
The 2 point conversion was crazy. The defender forgot to put his arm out.. yikes.
The onside kick was another fluke of flukes.

We these the Hawks are watching the big game on tv.

That said... hope it's a good game.
All the Patriot so wins have been by 3 pts so maybe close

Lots of Seahawks and Packers fans last night at Smokey's Cantina. Thankfully we 'Hawks folks were doing all the beer-bottle clinking at the end of the game. ¡Madre Dios! The finish was a heart stopper. All my wife's people are from the Boston area so we'll have some pretty good intra-family bets.

I grew up with and then covered hawks games featuring qbs named krieg. kitna. Stouffer. Mirer. Who were those guys? Exactly. Not as much of an nfl fan anymore but glad for all of the fans that are friends. They know they got lucky yesterday and they'll still take wilson 8 days a week. They paid dues for a long time.

The Seahawks had a bad 1st 55 minutes, but they've been a lot of fun to watch this year. They play a style of football that I enjoy.

I start to hate them really quickly though once the ownership and management starts their nauseating pandering to the fans with this "12" nonsense.

I was in Seattle in September the day of the home opener against the Packers. Downtown was insane. The fans LOVE the team. They would love the team whether or not they get jerked off by Paul Allen about how indispensable they are to the success of the franchise. Stop it. Please.

    Dues?
Remember the Pats before bob kraft? Pats of the 60’s and 70’s?
    The old Schaefer Stadium?
Us old guys recall the Pats when they were NOT the organization they are now. Now where did I put my wood-soled Duegi’s?

Ahh, how quickly the world forgets the 1 and 15 or 2 and 14 teams of the early 90's. How we would feel blessed with a .500 year.

In NYC, there is a lot of Patriot hate, but as the doofus level of NYC pro sports writes new lows into win-loss record books, even the haters have to admit the Patriots get it done. Every year the Pats are supposed to be done. Brady has blown his arm out finally, Belichick is finally unmasked as the cheater that he actually is, heads are going to roll when Kraft heads to the team office, etc. Then the loose parts start to click into place, they get a few recently released retreads to play above their pay grade, they find some guy out behind the A&P who can catch a ball - just have to say they may not be perfect but they are experts in turning imperfection into wins.

A guy on my staff keeps a cartoon from the Boston Herald on his desk, probably from the early '90s. A circle of guys at a 12-step meeting, one guy standing saying, "Hello. I, too, am a NE Patriots fan." It hasn't made a lot of sense for a couple decades now, but it did then.

This guy's been a season ticketholder since deep in the bad old days. He's the guy I think of when the haters come out.

We got our dues, you got yours. Some days Morten Anderson wins it, some nights Eugene Robinson... well... I wanted your team to win that one.

I assume this means the nfl officials will be giving tom brady's balls a firm squeeze before the game next week.

    Note.
It has never been been a good idea to really piss brady off.
    He plays better pissed off.

    What's the spread? Anyone?

I've nothing constructive to add other than to say this seems to be par for the course with the Pats imho. Go Seattle...but ultimately Brady still wins - win, loose, draw (or DQ), next Sunday night he still goes home and crawls in bed with Gisele...
