Default Fall Michaux Madness - Early October?

It's hard to believe another summer is just floating by, but I'm daydreaming about a little Michaux riding for maybe a long weekend in October. I think the handful of us that have rallied some miles up that way can agree that it's a corner of the country that is a hidden gem for getting dirt on the tires.

    Anyone interested?

Here's a mid summer pic. Close your eyes and re-picture this in fall colors.

    "In". Date(s) TBD.

To be 100% honest, I have obligations to close down the Va campground until late October sooooooo I really will do everything to make this. If I can not finish up the shutdown process I'll be there in spirit.

No kidding, those routes are insanely good.

I haven't been that way since an Iron Cross race about a decade ago. I'd be interested for sure.

I'm not doing the wigwam runup again though.

I'm a maybe at best. UnPAved is the 10th and Iron CX is the 17th.

First weekend in October we will be in Cooperstown, 2nd weekend is Overland East Expo in Virginia. For us it would need to be later in the month. Fitness still is an unknown. Rox was released yesterday from a walking boot and is allowed to start riding. That gives two months to regain some level of fitness. I'm fat and have a follow up appointment next week for my aching feet.

Alright it’s been a minute away for me; but I’ve got Michaux on the mind. Any thoughts of a gathering of the nomads possibly late summer/early fall??

I can most likely make this work in October, some work travel pending. Thanks for bringing this back up!

    Alright!

Let’s try and make this happen. Sleeping in the micro camper is more pleasant in the late fall anyway :)

I’m sitting in a bar in Pittsburgh tonight and wanderlusting about how cool some of PA is. Gotta make the most of it until the state is snowed in!
