    Default Porsche

Not sure if you would consider this to be hand made, but my day job is ground up restoring/rebuilding Porsche and CanAm race cars.

I typically start off with this:

    001-23.jpg

    and finish with this:

We have a couple of real historic CanAm cars such as this McLaren M8F
    013.jpg

    and this Lola T70 MKIII

Very nice! Cam restoration must be a fairly small family in the US. The founder and former owner of KAM Motorsports in CT, Gerry McCarthy, is an old family friend, and worked on our cars for decades. I used to love going to his shop when I was younger to see the bath tubs (356's) and the old 550 Spyder that Gerry had maintained ever since new. Keep the pics coming!

I'm out of town and have a stupid slow internet connection so bare with.. I'll try and put some of our newer projects up on the site or on flicker/photobucket. For now, I have quite a bit of process stuff on our website.

    incredible work.

i'm a huge fan as there have been Porsches in the family for years. dad's still the original owner of an 1987 911 Carerra in summer yellow. that car now does concourse events...and does quite well. dad has had a 996 911 and now has a 997 S. Mom had a Cayenne S and a GTS, even though some see the Cayenne as blasphemy. the GTS was quite the rocket.

while my jury is still out about the new format of Road & Track, this month's 50th tribute to Porsche was quite worth reading. read the damn thing cover to cover.

Sean your work is phenomenal. What a cool occupation. I am a one time Porsche owner (1988 Carrera Targa) that gave me the bug. Next time I'm in AZ I would love to come visit and drool.

Thanks for the compliments guys. The white cars above are two different cars. The 43 car was actually a really cool project. That customer was wanting it built 70% race and 30% street. We built him a somewhat detuned 4.0L engine so that he could run on pump gas as well as race fuel. HP was somewhere in the realm of 380ish with a boatload of torque. The 53 car is more of our bread and butter builds... a race ready 3.0L twin plug. Both 911's have full 930 suspension and adjustable rear camber boxes.

My decal guy just left. Here is our newest ready for delivery:

    0021_zps011c3c99.jpg
    0011_zps12279036.jpg

*I also just built a frame that will have the same color scheme as the above (got to love left over paint). Hopefully I can have it finished before the car is delivered.

Any time you want =) That is a great car as a starting point.......a 3.2 we could bump up to a 3.4 stroker and a G50.. yummy

Yes, yes it is. When we originally built it, the car came with megaphone exhaust...as most RSR's did back in their day. Later we had to build a separate street exhaust for him because he was getting tickets for noise violation in the city. The second you hit around 4000 rpm, it is ear piercing. Same customer owns the green Carrera on the website...which is also street legal.

C'mon up. We'll arrange a ride in the spring. Road, dirt, gravel, MUT.... I'm 30 minutes by bike from where Hell of Hunterdon starts. Bunch of VS guys locally and we need an excuse to gather.
