Who else here?
Just got back from the Rio Colorado got some nice rainbows and a really sweet brown!
Tried to count but botched it, likely ~IMG_4316.JPGIMG_4260.JPGIMG_4252.JPG100 fish in four days.

Oh my. I want to do that.
Nice work Garro!
I spent two days last week out off Beavertail, RI stalking blues on fly and picking up the occasional bottom feeder. Second day was 40's and raining and all I had was a ski shell over a sweater and cotton pants. AWESOME time.

Dude that is sick sick sick.
Nothing quite like motoring along at 30mph in a steady rain, no windshield on the boat, and having the rain pelt your jacket, bead off, and roll down to soak your crotch.
I don't think I'd even bother cooking that trout. Looks incredible. I was snacking on Atlantic Herring all day since I didn't have any breakfast and all we had on board was a bag of pretzels.

Steve,
In Florida we call that size bass bait. You need to hook up with Ronnie E. and hit some of the phosphate pits here in Central Florida.

bigfish.jpgYeah, it's a 10' wide creek.......not bad for the back yard - You go fishing yourself?
If you just want size then here you can go yank those God-Damn striped bass out of the lower Colorado or lake powell - they get 40lb-ers pretty common, and I can gank in 30" pike all day seven miles away (we have so many they tell you to throw them on the shore if you want) but I'm not a huse pike fan, either.
Basically, I'm just stoked to catch fish.
We're not comparing penises, just talking fishin' - fish for yourself and you're always happy........
But........if I'm going for big fish I go for trout........but, it's tedious & I know few people patient enough to want to go with to catch the big ones, but if you ever want to go.........

Fished a lot as a kid, but haven't been in years. Every winter the state stocks some trout somewhere around here. This year they stocked them in a small pond at the State Park where I do a lot of riding. Went out his morning and caught a few. I'd forgotten how much fun it is to fish. Is it dinner time yet?

They're nothing to brag about size wise, but I hope they taste good.
IMG_0805.JPGIMG_0801.JPGAttachment 53376IMG_0646.jpgFishin' season!
Quit counting, but here is a SM bass for a visual - bronze, red eyes, mouth does not extend beyond eye.
And, a 20" LM - greener, mouth extends beyon eye = big as a paddleblade!
Also floated right beneath this Blackhawk - a badass predator.
Amazing day of fishin'

IMG_1011.JPGIMG_0984.JPGIMG_0880.JPGIMG_0909.JPGIMG_1005.JPGIMG_1019.JPGMan........fishin' was slow, way slow.
Caught a handfull of dinkers in the 10" range but nothing worth keeping at all.
No predatory birds yet where usually evey big rock has a GBH (great blue heron) and the skies were fillled with ospreys, kingfishers, eagles and mergansers on the water. Just not warmed up yet.
However, boating was awesome.
Paddling UP the Colorado is always a workout!

IMG_1036.JPGIMG_1064.JPGA wacky spring for fishin!
hot/cold/hot/wind/cold ???
Fish don't know what to do.
Some small bass, unlike last week which was gangbusters on nice ones - did catch this native roundtail, which is actually a minnow.
They pull like crazy - this one was stuffed with eggs.
Also a picture of my best catch ever, by far.

Steve - are you paddling an AEII or a Long Haul MKII in those pics? I had an AEII for a while, but swapped it on a Moots MTB about a year ago. Fantastic boats! I'm getting a rotomolded hardshell double to replace it though -- for local paddling and fishing with the kids, it's easier to just pull it off the roof and throw it in the water.

Just back from a week in WI on the mighty Mississippi - flood conditions, but we still got some.
....Including some big ones......

Just walked in from some pond largemouth on bead head buggers in VT. Dog managed to nab one on the line. Will work on some pics when the sun starts to set and the feed pics up. Too hot right now.
Can't help it.

My buddies picked these up last weekend, My son and I had to be satisfied with keeping a couple 14 inchers out of the same lake which ended up being darn tasty when fried up.
