Default Simple question about oxy torch function

I'm looking at a used oxygen acetylene setup and the person has it labeled as a cutting torch. Brazing with it should just be a matter of changing the tip and the pressure correct? Here is the ad in case anybody has any other input. Thanks! https://delaware.craigslist.org/tls/4884883972.html

Do you think it is worth getting into or should I just piece together my own setup? Saving money is great but I don't mind spending a little more if there's a lot to be gained.

Personally, I would stay away from this. Those tanks are too small, the hose looks old and worn, the regs have small diameter diaphragms, and I wouldn't buy used O/A equipment from someone who can't be bothered to take an in focus picture for a CL ad.
It doesn't bode well for how they take care of their equipment. Just my opinion.

There's been so much discussion of what makes a good O/A set up for frame building on this board. You'd be well advised to listen to it imo. You'll end up spending a bit more in the end, but after you've been using it for a while, and the light bulbs start to go on, you'll thank yourself.

I'm not sure you would spend more, to be perfectly honest. Screwing around with stuff that isn't quite right can cost a lot of money. Around here, I'm pretty sure the people that sell their OA setups on CL never used it, it came from grandpa.

My best advice is always to get the biggest tanks you can safely get filled. If you have to drive them yourself that's a consideration. You will NEVER want a smaller tank unless you're working on AC units in a closet. The economics of bigger tanks make sense too. It doesn't cost that much to buy twice the gas.

This is one of those pieces of advice that could save you hundreds. Trust me, when you start, you will use lots of fuel and oxy just sticking metal together.
