I went out the back door to do a little rain barrel work and noticed that I was being watched.
A few mornings ago as I was having breakfast I happened to look out onto the deck and noticed something big glide to a nearby tree. I looked and it was a huge vulture. Then I looked again and there were two others already in the same tree. They were soon joined a fourth, and just sat there for a while, looking around. Then, for no obvious reason, they decided it was time to go, and they flew off down the slope, where they disappeared through some other trees. I've never seen vultures around my house, let alone four of them at once. Unfortunately I didn't have time to grab the binoculars to take closer look.
A spin thru lovely Battle Ground in route to the Highlands. It was a good day🌻
