NFS Chainlube & Race Grease: The wait is over

Barely covered here and frequent question. Depends on your tolerance level for getting things going. If I'm being a good boy this is the drill: ride a new chain a couple times than wipe it down with hot soapy water (Dawn dish soap), allow to air dry than apply NFS as normal.

If you put NFS directly on a new chain and it makes a bit of a mess, nothing hateful just dirty looking. Riding new chains allows the heavy shipping goo to break up and NFS will make the shipping grease easy to wipe away.

For the record I'm opposed to remove a working chain or stripping them with chemicals. Just ride it, apply NFS after and wipe sideplates = good enough for the rest-of-us.

@Too Tall I'm almost positive I know the answer to this question, but figured I'd run it by you for confirmation:

I'm currently 2,500 miles away from home, which means I don't have quick/easy access to either my usual wheel sets or any lubricants other than what I brought with me.
Fortunately I was smart enough to pack both NFS chain lube and NFS Race Grease :dancing banana:
But the wheels I have here are ~15-year-old Mavic Ksyrium Elites, and they're exhibiting that dreaded Ksyrium Hub Shriek, which means the inner hub body and pawls need to get cleaned and lubed.

Previously I've been told that the recommended lube for this job is a lightweight sewing machine oil.
I watched a youtube video last night to remind me how to disassemble these hubs, and the mechanic there recommended Shimano's hydraulic brake oil.

Are either of the NFS products I have in my possession appropriate, or do I need to go shopping?

Keep in mind though that you should NOT use Blue Devil inside a Mavic freehub body. It is too heavy and the pawls won't be able to move fast enough. The regular thinner NFS is the ticket there. And when you are pulling the freehub body off of the hub, be VERY careful. Those little pawl springs are super easy to lose. And upon reassembly, they are really easy to bugger up as well.

Hey on a more or less joyful note. I'm done with field testing, sourcing and perseverating over a new NFS product. First my hat in hand, head bowed in respect for all the nice folks who risked certain disaster testing a new chainlube.

Wait what? We don't need a new chainlube harumph! You do, maybe. This is a reboot of the stupidly expensive (to produce) NFS NE PLUS ULTRA which was a pretty darn good product. It served a niche and I was very into producing something that was bio-degradable, no smell and non-toxic. The rub was said, it was too darn expensive to make and it had a soft side. The old NFS NE PLUS ULTRA was only about 80% as good as NFS Ultimate.

Well hello nurse (they them). The new formulation may very well be better than NFS Ultimate and has all the favorable properties of the first issue of NFS NE PLUS ULTRA. What is not to love? This version is also, odorless, colorless, bio-degradable and non-toxic and VERY high mileage.

I'm waiting on labels and will start to post pre-orders on the e-commerce site as soon as I'm happy with the new labels and they are printed.

Announcing this here 'cause yall have been tolerant and kind to me so hang in there, this stuff is pretty awesome.

Pricing will be in line with NFS Blue Devil
