As an innocent in these matters, does this mean puncture repair kit or anti-venom?

Anti-venom. Every time we ride there is at least one Rattlesnake encounter. LOL I was amp'ing it up on some trail and saw large rattler in the middle of the trail. At the speed I was going there was no avoiding p'ing him off. I think Dan was behind me so he and the others got the stink eye ;)

Thank you! We do have one poisonous snake species in the UK but the last recorded human death from snake bite was in 1975.

A yellow jacket will kill me faster so I will bring my epipens.
I saw a big copperhead last year in PA.

Rattlesnakes are chickens, infact they taste just like.... ;) Copperheads are mean, they actually do scare me.

most of the Copperheads I've seen in MO have been pretty tame unless you step to close, or move lumber they were hiding under. I saw a young one crossing the road one night with the Girls and we stopped the truck so the girls could see it.
Cottonmouth's on the other hand are very Territorial and will attack the boat. Mean and nasty, our friend and guide usually keeps a noisemaker of some kind in the boat just in case.

That's been my experience in rural North Texas. In the past couple of years I've seen 5 copperheads that I was able to turn around and move with a couple of well placed pebbles, and I let them retreat. One decided to launch a feeble strike and I dispatched him with a quick axe chop. Rattlesnakes on the other hand strike fear in me for some reason, and my trusty Remington 870 loaded with #7 birdshot makes quick work of them. I may be a little paranoid also given the fact that I live 45 minutes from the nearest health care facility.
