An interesting read. An international communist conspiracy - very amusing.

Go look for the Parler videos on ProPublica. Or the video from the New Yorker reporter. Those guys were out for blood.
book em dan-oh
Those videos are very hard to watch.
Stupid angry animals on the loose.
Should be watched regardless.
I have to take them in bits and pieces.
This is an interesting article about the political transformation of the guy who died of a heart attack during the assault on the Capitol; the framework of his trajectory isn't a surprise but I still find it interesting to read some of the details of one person's evolution: https://asiatimes.com/2021/01/the-ra...l-hill-rioter/
This guy's "Class Composition of the Capitol Rioters" exercise is kinda interesting, too: https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2021...first-cut.html
Dilution of privileged white status, via the advances of non-whites as well as loss of jobs for our post WWII high school educated white blue collar sector, is what I perceive in the root cause analysis. To think that Trump would/could fix it (loss of jobs) was ridiculous...but I hope the economic neolibs will realize that they'd better do so.
Generation T may have to age out to fix it. All those old dogs are set.
They will have to take a number as opportunity passes by.

In all of this, I continue to see a tremendous waste of our country's potential.
When the narrative is zero-sum thinking, and that things were perfect at inception and should never be changed (hello, yesterday's "commission" release), it's hard to escape the conclusion that people can only gain by taking from others.
This conflicts with my hope, which is that we can recognize and encourage the potential of all people, and embrace the idea that our sum grows when we work together.
In short: idealism and coffee, that's what I've got.

Carnage indeed as the death toll tops 400,000.
So, who's popping a cork tomorrow at 1200 hrs Eastern?
I damn sure am.
Trump has pardonned Bannon. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it's a legal principle that if you accept the pardon you admit your guilt. That would seem to leave Bannon on the hook for a civil case reclaiming the money.

Let's see how SCOTUS rules on this. Dark money may become a constitutional right for our uber citizens, the corporation, thus turbo charging Citizens United.
Even worse. Bannon (don't say his name three times) has not seen a court room AND is being pardoned for fleecing DJT donors. Magic 8 ball says the Bannon will be #1 in the sights of the Lincoln Project least he gain traction with something like...oh I don't know...FREEDOM PARTY?

Had a very satisfying morning dump watching the entire Trump number 2 family board the plane.
I flushed when they shut the door.
The Cava is in the fridge and we’ll be making the tapas soon.
Goodbye, you awful turd. And worst wishes for an unhappy, unpleasant remainder of your pathetic life. If I never hear your name again it will be too soon.
