Default cycling cap + mtb helmet with visor

I wear a cap under my helmet most of the time if for no other reason than to keep sweat out of my eyeballs. I have a visor-less "road" helmet for "gravel bike" days and the cap is worn with the peak forward. on mtb days, my other helmet has a visor. I have some caps that fit backwards so I don't have a redundant visor in the front and the rear-facing visor keeps some sun off my neck. (not all caps fit this way.)

what kind of sin would I be committing if I wore a cap forward with a visor-ed helmet? How does one reconcile this?

Function over form. Let others clutch pearls over your supposed transgressions.

If you don't see it in the pro peloton, it's not acceptable.

This should be added to The Rules.
