First Pound of Bronze and Flux

Can I go wrong with Gasflux CO4 and the B flux? I'll be using propane and my first frames (after practice) will be Cromor.
So I can use the same filler for lugs, dropouts, and braze ons?

Jeff- Generally beginners tend to have an easier time with thinner filler rods. But I suggest you get some of each and find out for yourself which works better for you. Andy

I guess, I'm at the right place here.
I've just bought my first set Oxy-Acetylene.
Wat first rods would you advice for a beginner, Bronze and Silver?
And of course wich Flux.

It's for steel (obviously) but not only for framing, my son asked me to build him a grind bar for skating.
I'm in continental Europe.

For general steel joining, like a grind bar, I would suggest brass/bronze as silver wants really tight fit up and hates big gaps. For lugged frames I would suggest silver WHERE the fit up allows. But even with well fitted lugs there are times when brass is still going to be a good choice.

So I suggest you start with brass. Here in the US a lot of us use Gasflux's CO4 bronze rod and their B flux. What the availability is or alternative to in Europe are I can't help with. I do know that Ceeway, out of England, lists some fillers and flux. I would further suggest that you get both silver and brass and start playing with each to find out which works best for your methods. Andy

I already planned to buy both brass and silver but I'm lost in the very numerous type of different rods. So if someone has a precise brand or "model" it would be great.
I know for Ceeway but because of brexit, it takes long time for delivery and extra custom costs.
