For the season, Blizzard of AHHHHHs..... 1988...
Amazing to see how much skiing has progressed since then.

I had high expectations following a great npr review but was confused by the experience. I mean, it was fine, but maybe I missed something and need to watch it again?

Wings of Desire is an all-time great movie. What a picture.

Follower and leader. So many memories of hardly watching, mostly listening to Stump films in the ski shop while selling the gear I wanted to the people who could afford it.

Will you also watch License to Thrill?

Nah, we will switch to 1995 and Endless Winter with Warren Miller.
It's when Craig Kelly and Burton rampaged on the scene and changed the lines we could ride.

a lot of good snowboard memories from 1995

Craig Kelly was so cool. I used my shop discount to buy his signature board for my friend.

Since this is a cycling forum I'll suggest The Triplets of Belleville. Probably not a movie for non-cyclists or anyone else without a bizarre sense of filmmaking. It's a must-see for any cyclist though.

On the lighter side, I watch The Commitments about every year. Put the kids in a safe place and crank up the stereo.

This article (written by The Guardian’s food critic) came out a few weeks ago. Basically details how Tucci invited him to make a Timpano. Makes for a decent read, but i’m not sure i’m as impressed about the actual product (though it certainly is an impressive culinary feat, just not to my liking).

Timpano...one of the world's tastiest caloric gut bombs.
