They all come and go in my history of buying.
My wife and I have different uses.
We treat them with varying degrees of kindness.
I will defer to her preferences.
The hand squeeze, like a hand strengthening work out device.
A set adjustable hold stop for a preferred spray pattern and water flow.
This one is tricky, she often uses rubber bands to keep the hand squeeze set to a certain volume.
Cute design flies for both of us, but that rarely leads to durability.

Dramm and others make a sprayer with a rotating lever that opens and closes the valve. That way you aren't holding the lever. Just set it and it stays at that flow rate until you move or close the valve.

You can also get just the valve control assembly and stick on of those Dramm 12380's on the end of it. Best of both worlds?

If she isn't really using the sprayer to wash the driveway or the car or the side of the house off, then she's probably going to be kinder to the roots and soil around the roots on plants by using a rain wand. Best way to soak a plant. Actually the best way is to run drip irrigation or a soaker hose and keep the water as close to the ground as possible. But a rain wand works.

I'm in Todd's corner. Simple brass nozzels are the stuff. Funny story, this summer a friend dug up a 50 yrs. old brass garden hose nozzle. I cleaned it up and have been using it ever since.

Gave it a shot for a couple months and ordered another.
My wife and I are both happy with the utility and quality.
Pretty sure the old brass model will outlast this, but this is a great alternative.
It may outlast me.
