I guess I'm just never going to outgrow the 90s.

Y'all are speaking my language now. Guy I worked with in high school had a navy 1500 Z71 with chrome under the bodyside moldings. Decent sound system, dual exhaust. Still consider that truck to be the best looking full size truck I've ever seen.

They're kind of the origin of modern pickups that ride well and have creature comforts, without the rounded body styling that hit in the late 90s.

The only ones left on the road up here are total rust buckets, and it's fun to look at ones that aren't all rusted out and remember how sharp they were.

My wife just texted me from Tucson asking if I'd like her to drive a truck back for me.

Being a city boy, I've always thought full sized trucks are too big. Modern full sized trucks are enormous.

Spin up the time machine and give me a Syclone please!

A tangent to the topic, but one you all might enjoy. I don’t like NASCAR but I like that this driver, needing top 5 points to advance, just pinned the throttle and passed 5 cars using the wall. What a crazy brilliant move.

Looks like the engine got a little hot. Lemme guess - fuel lines are on the left side of the engine.

^^^ there was a similar sight on my dog walk route for years. I kept telling my wife, someone should restore that. It's gone now, replaced by a much less interesting derelict. I hope it's being restored.

Nice one R.W. I can say from experience that all Rovers go to Costa Rica to die and reborn with all the right stuff transplanted. That one is a candidate.

Yup, I suspect the 2500 will sell quickly, often above sticker, and that the lofty prices will probably persist in the used market.

Are they not making a stick?
Gorgeous looking car but at a base price of $225k, surely you could build something similar with an older air cooled 911 with all the aesthetics and more character? You know 2400 of these will never touch anything tougher than a grass parking lot at a yacht rock concert venue.
