Kigumi House
I went down the rabbit hole that Diablo opened with the Kumiko Crafts post, and found this 34-minute piece on hand building a house in Japan. Makes me wish to be an apprentice to the builder. Reposting here in case it was missed in the other thread.

I really like the teamwork and mastery it took to put the joints and framing together. Plus the number of different joints that were used throughout. Pretty cool!

This guy went to Japan to do just that. Here's an example of a traditional house carpentry school. A lot of the joinery is done off-site, then transported to the house build site and assembled there. The specificity of the type of joint used in different parts of the house is pretty interesting.
