I shared over in Nomads. My wife and I have a soap company. It was her company when we married a few years ago, and I've been helping since. She makes the soap using all-natural materials with no animal products. When possible, she uses essential oils for fragrance. Other fragrances are all natural. She uses olive oil, palm oil, and coconut oil, along with beeswax and lye. The bars last as long as a brand name in the shower and don't get squishy like some. She supplies soap to Teton, NP, and many resorts in the West. If you live in the Phoenix area and use Community Pharmacy, each prescription order comes with a bar of soap. She makes a nice hypoallergenic olive oil soap, a tea tree and eucalyptus bar for skin issues, and many more. My personal favorite is peppermint scrub which is refreshing after a hot day.

Thanks Josh. Another option for folks with businesses is custom labeling. If someone wants to include soap or put it on their website, she can do the label artwork. All the labels you see on the website are her artwork.

My wife was back in AZ last week to make another 1,000 bars for new orders from B&Bs, resorts, and National Parks out west. People are getting out and seeing places after a few years of staying home. I appreciate the orders and repeat orders from Salonistas.

Thank your bride for me. My trailer smells like a Eucalyptus forest. I'm pleasantly surprised how cleanly that soap rinses leaving little to no scent.

I am a fan of the Eucalyptus. But, IME the winner is….this morning my wife said, “hey you know that soap you put into the shower? I really really like it.” It was the Dragon Blood that Bill’s wife had thrown into my order and said try this one. So, given the convo in my house this morning…just sayin’

I like the dragon's blood, and I especially like that no dragons are harmed. We brought a bunch of various soaps to Wyoming and have been sending out orders. My wife is flying back to AZ during the last week of July to make two batches (1800 bars). I use the peppermint scrub as a soap and shampoo. It rinses out well.

Thank you to all the folks who have ordered soap this summer. My wife is flying to AZ on Friday to make a few batches of soap to fill her current orders. She'll return next Friday, and I'll return to AZ on 9/11. I will fill orders while she is in Wyoming/Montana for Western Regionals for working equitation.

I filled two orders this morning, one of which goes to a rider in Greenville, SC. A local Llama Farm has a gift shop and they pretty much wiped us out. We have some peppermint scrub, cinnamon scrub, a metric craptonne of patchouli, and some Bay Rum. Terri will make several batches in early October when she returns from Wyoming.

The Process. Terri got home yesterday afternoon with the horses. This morning was all about making ten batches of soap.

The process starts with the lye making.

The oils (coconut, palm) get heated to melt until clear.

Fragrances are either essential oil or another all-natural source.

Shea butter and Beeswax.

Pouring lye into the oil causes saponification. Fragrance and color is added.

Pour the liquid mixture into the wooden forms lined with special wax-like paper with a high-temperature resistance.

If the soap has swirls, it is added and mixed artistically.

Comment and certainly not a complaint, did Josh slip you a vial of unicorn tears to make the soap last as long as a bottle of NFS? It is stopping me from reordering. Guest room baths will last until the next millennium!

There are pretty soaps with nice scents for the guest bath, and there are the everyday soaps such as Peppermint Scrub, Lemongrass, Prickly Pear, Eucalyptus, and Olive Oil. The soap shed will be restocked by tomorrow when the soap will be cool enough to cut into bars.

Thumbs up for the flavors tried so far, especially for Dragon's Blood. Normally I don't like scented soaps. These fall into a different category.

They clean well, rinse well, and there is no feeling of any residue or skin dryness. Kudos.
