Should I now be wondering about your brake pads? I'm wondering about your brake pads.

That’s one way to try recessed cleats w/o buying new shoes.

*TONS* of life left in those! (my SPD cleats look a lot like those at the moment)

Always fun to push the intended usage limits of road pedals. I find that twisting my foot back and forth for a few km while riding can, sometimes, extrude mud just enough so that I can clip in again. Frozen mud....not so good.

@darkmother LOL I've mastered the art of smacking-your-foot-on-pavement and keep pedaling. It's kinda fun????

$10 salvaged mechanic's creeper stool at the local construction materials recycling NFP. I end up dropping stuff off and I always make the mistake of going inside. A little Clorox to remove the mold, Goo Gone to address the caked battery acid and some NFS on those ball bearing casters...Richard Sears and Alvah Roebuck would be proud.

RW for the win. Count me in as a fan of rescue "stuff". My latest is a long abandoned skateboard. Bearings were trashed. Some NFS did the trick.

    Way to go man

Just refilled (and re-labeled, thanks to Josh’s largesse with a spare sticker set) the Dualco grease gun with the ruby special sauce!

Rumored to be a UCI approved lubrication management system to be paired with their tire pressure management system…only less sophiscated.

Gawgeous picture Mr. S. Thanks. Hmmm that bottle has got to be 6+ yrs. old. Why you so stingy with the stuff? Surely, you have squeaky door hinges.

I rotate among the 5 bottles that I have, giving preference to the "smelly" version. There's about 2 chain lubes left in that particular bottle, which is headed to the lube museum...

That gives you impetus to visit T.K. I gave him and Jeff a 1/2 gallon stash yrs. ago. That's the last of the old old old formula.

I’m just about out of my original bottles. Can you give me a rundown of which one to choose between the ultimate, blue devil and green? It gets used on a road commuter, e cargo bike and a couple mountain bikes all of which get ridden in the wet on a regular basis.

    Toots,

Sorry, but - with peace and love - I have to lodge a formal complaint against Nixfrixshun (NFS)...

In early April 2022, I noticed my bottle of NFS (appearing to) approach empty. I proceeded to order a replacement bottle, said order having been promptly fulfilled. Upon receipt of the new bottle, I placed it behind the old bottle, expecting to swap them out soon. Seeing as I believe in keeping my junk clean and well lubricated at all times, I figured it wouldn't be long before the swap.

Fast forward to today, and I still have not placed the new bottle into service. I feel sucker punched. It's almost as if NFS is too good. Almost.

    Chapeau!
