Bowl made from a large black cherry tree that fell in 2020. My pal Jeff the cabinetmaker gave a chunk to his colleague for turning, and then he did the finish work. Great gift.

Even with the recent bear abuse, the swallows made it. Tough birds. Very determined. Two kids now out and on the wing.

Which reminds me, we ought to make a trip there before we move out of state. We have at least another 15 months to make that happen.

First time we went was October 2000, and i think there were very few tours then. We did get some nifty coasters though.

We finally made it out to Taliesin East. I think it was perhaps appropriate that we visited after we have gained a greater appreciation of the Prairie architecture style (not difficult to do when there are many good examples in Madison)
