I've used imgur for a while but it keeps getting slower and more frustrating. What's the best alternative? Is there a fix for slow imgur? Thanks in advance got some float trip pics to post :>).

Flickr is good. I don't like how it always embeds extra text in the links, but it's easy to delete all but the bracketed [img] section.
I've gotten pretty used to Imgur, but it can be distracting.
e.g.:
Defauilt Flicker link, which reads like this [ url=https://flic.kr/p/2p3CjqW][ img]https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53194617230_f94b02aacc_b.jpg[/ img ]1 Large by Mitch Thompson, on Flickr :

Remove everything before and after to get a more normal image, like so:
You can choose from a range of image sizes, group in albums...I think you can host 1000 images in the free version.

As e-Richie pointed out a while back, with Flickr you can also click the download arrow to the right of the image and select "View all sizes" and then right click>copy the URL for the sized image you want to post here. Then paste that URL using the "insert image" radio button in the reply window here to get the image embedded in your post here on VSalon without link-back or extra HTML.
Flickr is not perfect but usability is better than almost everything else.
I've been using Postimage.org ever since Photobucket went to hell, and I have no complaints...other than the fact that occasionally Postimage will only show a subset of all the photos of mine I know it's hosting
