Portable inflators

I want to get a portable inflator to use with my Promaster camper van.

Max PSI requirement is 80psi.

I'm looking at the Viair 89P....or the Ryobi 737D Price is about equal. I think speed of inflation is huge....durability also. Power source is not a deal breaker.

Anyone use one of these?

Ryobi isn’t the fastest, but it works well. Mine’s about a year and half old and has travelled around the US with a women’s team. Can get warm if using for long periods.

Also have a Milwaukee portable compressor. Much faster, heavier, and costly. But it’s quite nice.

My biggest problem with getting a hand-held inflator was that they all seemed to come with a screw on thing - and that isn't great.

I ended up buying a cheap twin headed hose and valve and 3d printing an adaptor to fit it to the inflator which works well. I can get 100psi (if I wanted to) with my fairly basic one - and it's great for just topping off tires.

I have the Ryobi and use it all the time. I keep it in my car for when I am in the mountains, on the trails, and as previously mentioned, it is a touch slow, but not having to line up for 2 hours while everyone airs up is priceless.

I can run that thing for hours on end without having to recharge it. If you wait until around xmas, Home Depot usually has them on sale for around $20. Go to your local pawn shop and stock up on a few cheap batteries too!

I recommend the Ryobi.

To be clear I'm looking for an inflator for the van tires, not for bikes.
I bought a Viair 89P. It has a longer duty cycle and seems more fit for automotive tires.

The Ryobi works for vehicle tires. That is what I use it for. That and the scooter.

60 to 80psi in 1 minute 45 seconds. Not too shabby. It got hot, but not too hot to touch...briefly!

Late to the bobblehead party...

I use the vair RV version which is rated for continuous duty. The thing is really well designed and has the most craptastic bag ever.
