Porsche Dakar showed up.

It looks interesting with the beefy tires. I'd love to take this to the dirt roads of Wales. I'm going to have to be on my best behavior with the owner.

Those Dakars just look so perfectly balanced and just the right amount of rugged, while maintaining the 911 silhouette. Went down a rabbit hole on the web reading about them recently. Would be unbelievably fun to try driving in the snow we’ve gotten here lately.

I can't imagine how much fun that would be. I've driven a early 2000s 4s on dirt and maaaaaan that was some good times. Rear wheel steering and gobs of HP with that suspension oh my.

I can't believe how clean that garage is. There is nothing in NYC that I've seen that clean even in a hospital.

I could probably find a way to get the money to purchase a Dakar but I would never have the money to purchase all the necessary Porsche cars beforehand to be allocated a Dakar.

I'll stick to bikes and watches for now.

I love that - I just have trouble believe that they're 19 and 20" wheels! According to their website they're only an inch smaller than the ones on the "regular" models. Maybe the tyres are bigger too. I like that though - my last car rode better on the winter wheels with less wheel and more tyre. My new one has 19" wheels and they're just silly - and the tyres are nearly exactly double than if they were an inch smaller. I guess if you're buying a Porsche an extra hundred on each tyre shouldn't be a deal breaker.

I am sure the Porsche website has accurate specs. And yes, smaller rims and bigger tires will often ride "comfier" on and off road. Subaru did it on their latest off-road Outback "Wilderness".
