Wore the Tudor to the beach this past week. Half an hour before stepping on this thing in 4ft of water I said "I've never found anything cool at the beach...."

Any opinions here on Nezumi watches?
I like the look of this diver, and the GMT is pretty sharp as well.

The only watch I have these days (beyond a Suunto) is a blue Triwa plastic divers watch, and I wouldn’t mind something slightly more upscale.

Don't know anything about Nezumi. The pictures all look like renders tho, which isn't a great sign.

Anyone here interested in a largely unused/unworn TC-9 bronze turtle tribute? Seiko guts, brand new Erika's originals strap? I haven't worn it in 6+ months (I just really prefer my Garmin as an everyday for all the fitness tracking).

As cool as it is, I'm in an "if I dont use it, simplify" mentality right now. $200 shipped to lower 48 for a 'Salonista? Includes optional bezel, original case and black strap. Can link/send more pics but it's all natural patina (no artificial aging) and crystal looks to be in really nice shape (no obvious scratches that I can see).

Long story short, the Bulova (a hand me down from my grandpa, it's a 1973 Sea King, hand wind movement, gold plated case) is now running nicely (so it seems at least....). Had to open it back up after getting it back from servicing to get the movement fixed in the movement holder, but now it's good. Fun little piece. Never thought I'd like a gold watch...but....

FYI this is my lightest watch, it's 42g on this leather strap, it's even lighter than an all-resin G-Shock. Significantly lighter than the $55,000 Omega 'ultralight' AquaTerra.

Lovely looking watch. I inherited this watch when my grandfather died in 1985 and still wear it occasionally. The crown recently broke though, not a bad run at like 70 years or so, and I need to get that repaired. Anyway, manual wind watches are probably my favorite type of timepiece. Really love getting up in the morning and hearing that winding sound. Something very pleasing about it.

This REDUX SCOUT digital module just arrived yesterday. I picked it up from another Kickstarter campaign backer that bought a couple watches from the campaign and just wasn't interested in keeping this one. I actually ordered the VALOR and never wore it as I ended up getting a Maratac Titanium Pilot Automatic while waiting the 2+ years to get the VALOR. Will most likely sell the VALOR and the Maratac as I have two Maratac Titanium Pilot Quartz watches I really dig. Anyway, the SCOUT is tiny! Just 28mm. It's going on a Silverfoot velcro strap, which is pretty beefy (well, it is on my teeny wrist) and will look great.

Hip to be square around here, apparently. Just arrived after a couple month pre-order wait, Trafford Crossroads in the peach colorway. I dig it!

State Of The Collection December 2024

2024 was the year of selling. I bought too many watches the last few years I did not really want so I sold them.

My watch journey sort of goes like this:
    • 1992-1993: 1 watch (Swatch Automatic)
    • 1994-2009: 2 watches (Rolex Explorer II Polar, Swatch Automatic)
    • 2010-2014: 3 watches (Rolex DateJust, Rolex Explorer II Polar, Swatch Automatic)
    • 2015-2017: Added a few Seikos, Seiko Mods, and Micros.
    • 2018-2023: Added more Rolex, more Seikos, Tudor, other well known brands, more Micros, and some AliExpress stuff (watch count was more than 30).
    • 2024 - ?: Continue selling it all except the DateJust (gift from my wife)... or another plan...

What remains (image created 12/2023, red X marks what sold in 2024):
    • Rolex DateJust (2010) Gold/Steel 36mm - gift from my wife for a significant birthday. Worn often.
    • Tudor FXD M.N. (2023) - have not been wearing it but can't quite decide to sell it yet either.
    • Tudor 1926 41mm (2023) - have not been wearing it but can't quite decide to sell it yet either.
    • Oris Pro Pilot Big Crown Big Date - wear often because it is the only non-magnifier watch that I can see the date without my reading glasses.
    • Seiko SNZH55 Fifty Fathoms Mod - Sapphire crystal, FF dial, and NH35 movement. Will not sell because I created similar ones for two of my brothers who also collect watches. Never gets worn because the crown is too small so it is difficult (for me) to wind and set the date.
    • Seiko SKX011 Mod - Sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, CrystalTimes case, 6r15/NE15 movement upgraded for Date and Day functions. Gets worn.
    • Seiko SKX173 Mod - Sapphire crystal, ceramic bezel, CrystalTimes case, 6r15/NE15 movement upgraded for Date and Day functions. Never worn.

The price of $44,000 is indeed quite fantastic...imagination!

I've 'almost' ordered one of these so many times. The MN or the RedBull. I just can't seem to pull the trigger.

I am so torn on the FXD model line.

It wears really well with the lightness of titanium and the stock Velcro - infinitely adjustable - strap.

The issue for me is that it stands just a bit too tall on the wrist so it is often getting caught on my dress shirt cuff. If I wore polo shorts, t-shirts, or some other version of a short sleeve shirt on a regular basis this would be my most worn watch.

I picked up a Tortoise with some Amazon gift cards, got it on NYE. They've been discontinued, but it's a great Seiko for the money. For under $400 you get real applied markers (not pressed like most Prospex watches), applied logo, and 200m water resistant and great dimensions - it's thinner than my BB58. Still wish the bezel was a timing bezel instead of the compass, but, whatever, I still dig it. 42.4mm wide, 45mm lug to lug, 11.8mm thick. Fun little watch. Running +2spd so far after four days. Date code on the back says it was 'made' in March 2021, so clearly not a super fast moving model haha.

I can't post picts on this forum, so all I can do is links.

The first link is a 1918 Illinois Watch Company pocket watch that my grandfather bought brand new, it still runs like new only gaining about 5 seconds a month! I've had this watch for about 50 years, as far as I know it's never been serviced, but for some reason it's very clean inside. This is one of those unscrew the glass top, pull a tiny lever to set the time, strange, anyway I wind it once a year.

    https://www.bing.com/images/search?v...50&vt=2&sim=11

The next series of watches from top to bottom, is a 2005 cheap Seiko 5 watch; then a early 1960s era gold Omega auto that belonged to my dad, I think it has the original band, I had this serviced about 25 years ago, I only wear it when I have to wear a suit; then there's the 2019 Tissot PR100 Powermatic 80 that was running 10 minutes slow a month when I first got it, I sent it back to Tissot 3 times they finally got it to 6 minutes slow, still not good, but over those 5 years it sped up and now runs about 45 seconds to a minute slow a month; then lastly is a manual wind Benrus watch from the late 40s, another watch my dad bought new, amazing how small men's watches were back them but then you look at women's watches and they were very tiny, I had this watch serviced about 25 years ago because it wasn't running, it runs great now but I never wear it due to it being so out of style with the larger men's watches of today, it cost me more to fix it then it was worth.

    https://www.bing.com/images/search?v...50&vt=2&sim=11

I'm thinking about buying a Timex analog quartz compass watch with tide and temp readouts for when I do bike touring, still pondering that one, the one I want with a green dial mat pattern is sold out; I use the Seiko for camping.
