I took this photo this morning on my ride. I like the composition and considered B&W, but I think the colors work. It's smoky AF here in central Wyoming from fires out west and in Canada.

From my ride yesterday. Molson-Coors has grain elevators here for their high country barley, and by high country, 4200 feet. Most of the barley has been harvested and now the farmers bale the left over straw for livestock winter bedding. At some point, they'll burn the stubble, spread compost, and disc it all under for next year's crop. The fields rotate between sugar beets, barley, and corn for silage. Sheep and cattle graze on fallow fields.

Welcoming committee today after my ride. They have both been around bikes for years and are in no way spooked when I ride by. That's one of the reasons they're good trail horses, they just ignore the mountain bikers. The smaller horse, Chancy, is jealous of my Red AXS drivetrain and Syndicate is just waiting on treats. One of them left me a gift.

I was looking for a lunch spot, but I took a pass after seeing the sign.

I'm in a "my bike posing with ranch gates" group on FB. I took this a few days ago and it's my favorite so far. The location is west of Manderson, WY, near Hwy 16/20 which eventually takes you to the east entrance of Yellowstone NP.
