What are "cycling readers"?

My first guess is prescription eyeware for short-distance viewing, but that seems like an on-topic subject for the General Cycling Discussion sub-forum.

I overpaid for many brands (Rudy etc) but have now settled on Tifosi for price value and the recognition that at this age it won’t be the last pair I buy.

I've been very pleased (somewhat surprisingly) with how well the Hydrotac stick on bifocal lenses ($20 from Amazon) have worked with my Oakley Prism Road lens. I was able to trim off 3 mm with a scalpel blade along the straight edge to keep them down at the bottom of the lens where they are actually needed and don't notice them anywhere in my field of vision while riding.

Thanks for the Tifosi recommend. I was not sure if they are worthy.

I did try the stick on jobs however the placement and field of vision was not so great (for me).

I wear my Tifosi readers when I umpire behind the plate. Until Jitterbug makes a ball/strike clicker, I need readers.

Take a look at Zenni.
I bought a pair of great Zenni polarized sunglasses that I ride with for far far less than the "cycling" brands sell for.
I also use Zenni readers every day.
Now that I had my cataracts replaced with clear lenses, I get the readers with no prescription.
Great, well made and very inexpensive.

I've been using some wrap around safety glasses I picked up at Grainger for twenty some dollars around the shop, that offer a close fit and well-placed bifocal. They're clear lenses and fit closer than my Oakley Flax's. They probably offer dark lenses also, but don't know what kind of sun protection they offer.
