For sure. I am happy this morning despite the outcome. The Husky defense, a liability all season, continued to improve from both a scheme and personnel standpoint. The Husky offense was hobbled going in, and it showed. They weren't able to cash in the chances the defense gave them. But the team was good enough to make it a genuine one-possession game until less than 10 minutes remained. Up against a team with the advantages Michigan had--recruiting, health, depth, prior CFP trips with this coaching staff--the Huskies represented themselves well. It’s Xichigan Week in Columbus Ohio and the Buckeyes haven’t won against the Wolverines since 2019. This might be the turnaround year for Ryan Day, but anything goes when these two teams meet.

Dan…my youngest is a mechanical engineer from Ohio State with a graduate degree in robotics from Michigan…attending both of those schools could be an issue for most college football fans, right? He’s a Buckeye football fan of course and a Wolverine hockey fan and as he’s been in Korea, he missed the game with the time zone conflict. When I texted him this morning that I was making blueberry pancakes, he just sent back a grumpy emoji in response.

Time, and layers of alma mater sporting disappointment, will help him realize the blueberry pancakes are what matters. I just finished a piece of apple pie while telling my wife I feel good about the Huskies’ play yesterday, given the circumstances.

Obviously it seems like Michigan have had their number for a few years. My FiL isn't happy - apparently having energy left over enough to fight means you didn't leave it all on the field.
I sort of get it but it's mixed in with some MAGA and "everyone's a pansy" rhetoric.
It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage.

We have a Husky and a Hoosier in the household too, so I’m always careful when selecting my Dad hat or 1/4 zip for the day.
