The dude is a walking lawsuit. This album has cuts from something like 400 albums and pretty much every major label.

THere is a cool documentary being made about him, http://www.opensourcecinema.org/ and it shows the laptop that he uses in concerts. There is a spiderweb of grey boxes with various lines connecting them.

He clicks with his mouse and then air-humps on stage to get the crowd going.

Nice beats to rock to, but they usually belong to someone else. I think the mixes are clever but unoriginal composition, maybe its a generational thing. That and the predictable "Ho's and Bitches", just leaves me cold, or more like a slow burn.

I guess I'm just an old fart with teenage daughters to think about.

The album is okay. Night Ripper was better. Hollertronix - Never Scared better still. It's amazing how much the BMore club crew hate(s/d) Girl Talk for the lack of live mixing. I've gone back and forth on it as I've seen Diplo kill it one time but have a fucking horrendous set (after downing most of a fifth at Taxlo then going to a warehouse party) other times. With Girl Talk you always know what you are going to get "live". I was pretty astounded by the energy the first time I saw Girl Talk downstairs at the Black Cat in DC, it was a true mad house.

If anyone finds they like Girl Talk you should look up Dave Nada, you wont be disappointed.
