Man, it's only mid-January. Another smack-down on the way.

    Stay hydrated, my friends.

My business is in a shambles again today because of this. The people on the east coast who make decisions MUST recognize that this is not completely out of ordinary. I've been flying up and down the east coast for 7 years now and every year it's the same thing. People act like it's not normal, only the Midwest gets snow, etc. But for those 7 years this is pretty normal, with several of these events per year and for every single one of them they are unprepared, claiming that this is anomalous. It is not.

For airports to completely shut down (as Charlotte did today due to running out of De-icing fluid) is inexcusable. It costs the airlines tens of millions of dollars each time something like this happens. Horseshit if you ask me.

The East Coast cities of Washington, Baltimore, Philadelphia, New York have embarrassing winter operations, when they operate at literally, 25% of normal during these events. Less sometimes. Go to Minneapolis or Detroit to see a snowstorm result in some delays and disruptions, but not a complete and total meltdown of the business as a result of getting 6 inches of snow. They are ready when it happens, or at least more ready than places like LGA, JFK, PHL, etc.

    Carry on.

    Bring it on, mother nature.

Ya, one of the senior techs on another team was going on and on about how if it's deadly dangerous tomorrow nobody should drive in putting themselves at risk safety first and everyone should work from home and I was about to tell him to grow a pair this is the northeast this happens but remembered that Elsie from Puerto Rico was back from vacation and at her desk so I didn't but then I heard her saying 'grow a pair' in Spanish....

I flew Munich to O'Hare to Minneapolis yesterday and every flight was either on time or early. Evidence that snow doesn't have to cause chaos.
