    Product wise...
Best: Catlike Whisper Plus helmet...This summer was HOT...and This is the best-ventilated helmet I have ever worn...Excellent fit , too.
Worst: SRAM 9 speed chain...."Ring....Ring...You have reached the voicemail of SRAM Quality Control....There is nobody available to take your call...."

Also on the good side....The resurgence of tubulars...

best: leaving Banff, AB on my first attempt at the Tour Divide
worst: sitting in Reno after a couple of days from tossing in the towel at Butte, MT
realizing that I didn't go into it with enough cash, and wondering why my skin keeps exuding this weird waxy feeling... not to mention an eruption of saddle soars

worst: returning to Monterey, and thinking... "this is it?" <-- realizing how small things are

Best: Riding (the full) D2R2 first the first time. What incredible roads!
Worst: Andy Schleck's fist pump at the top of Tourmelet followed by Contador grabbing his face and winking. (ok, maybe the latter is a "best")
