I was excited for the Xoom, as an android user (Droid X). My wife has an iPad and it rocks for email, forums, etc, while waiting for just about anything. 3G kills the laptop argument, you can use it anywhere and the typing is actually not bad.

But $799 for the Xoom?

Bonehead move by Motorola. The Xoom just went from "hell yes" to "hell no" for me. Someone is going to come out with the $399 iPad killer (Samsung?), just not yet apparently.
