look for it. won't exactly be pro-tour- but i do believe racing improves the product. uci accreditation of the gaulzettis is already in progress. huge thanks to richard sachs for clearing up the process and letting all of us know how to do this properly and what it all means.
track is in the works. look for a bike very similar to the geometries used by bt. ultra-high bottom brackets- which the numbers seem to suggest reduces drag coming down off the banks, clearance for 25s so you can train on it and ride it on shitty tracks- short enough headtubes so you can use the thing with aerobars for those kind of events and a pretty cool fork that's super, super stiff.
soft goods- my pal and artistic genius kevin nierman doesn't know it yet- but we'll have some super awesome t-shirts, warm-ups and some sort of hat coming soon.
world domination? let me figure out this shit in libya first.
Did you decide to consolidate your efforts solely on aluminum? No more carbon and steel?
my aluminum bike is the best bike for the vast majority of my clients. the carbon is superb, and i love working with nic on that project and it's certainly still available and it really is a special project.
steel is one of my favorite materials to build a bike out of...give me a few months. columbus and me have something special planned.
i shouldn't spill the beans here- but watch for a magnesium gaulzetti prototype sometime soon. that's a project i'm really exicted about...i just have to get some more testing done. right now it looks like i can do a frame that's 20% lighter and 10% stiffer with that stuff without compromising anything in terms of the feel of the bike. as you guys know, one of the best bikes i've ever ridden was a magnesium dogma and this new stuff is way beyond what dedacciai was making for that thing. we'll see though.
Can we get some details on your upcoming stainless offering here ... maybe rough timelines and price estimates?
Is contacting you directly the current method of obtaining a Gaulzetti? I'm not seeing Luxe/Justin listed on the Gaulzetti site at this time as a distributor.
