Gotta hear this...
High school band playing age Against the Machine. What a great effort!
Duran Duran built a career on copping this one song over and over.

my eyes were watering from laughing so hard...
so many precious moments....
2:30 is divine...
but at 4:30 i lost it....:lagh:
You owe my 5:12 of my life back. I can't un-see that!!!
It is weird to think that in 40 years, those are going to be the song the elderly sing with a real fondness.
I'm posting this and going out for a drink. Alcohol will erase these memories.

very lush sounds here.
I ran across this guy yesterday while searching for something else. Sounds more right than wrong mostly to me and can't pick on much which is a good thing. Me like. It's a 'find'.
Bahamas - Pink Strat (*warning: kinda slow songs mostly)
Bahamas - "Southern Drawl"

As well as Page, he's just in my blood w/o rhyme or reason:

This was Arthur Lee's favorite band before he passed.

DAAAAAAAAYUMMMMMM that Jeff Beck clip was rockin'.
Thanks for the link.
That page led me to this:
One of my favorite all time songs from Mr. Beck. Check out the bass solo.
Yeah that's one of my favorite beck's tune also. I used to play that tune with a band, note for note, decades ago. I never was a fan of anyone doing that, but just that one tune, that was me vowing my head to the master himself. There's something so indescribable about Beck's sound and playing it's been preoccupation of mine for over 4 decades and still can't get enough.
Btw that's Tal Wilkenfeld from down under playing that bass, a great bass player. She's gone on to do solo now. Beck's had female players in his band in recent years (ala Gaddafi? yikes ;) ): I forget her name, Michael Jackson's one time guitar player, and Tal and now out; Alice Cooper is sorta lame but interesting factoids; they talk about drummers (Narada Michael Walden, Mitch Mitchel, Keith Moon, Gene Krupa) and Beck's female bass players/Wilkenfeld and Smith.
Also check out the other interviews in the series with Cooper.
Nose bleed seat wandering bird's eye view of live version.
and another one of my recent favorite
"Aesthetics is for artists what ornithology is for birds." Barnett Newman
This is not new or obscure. But even now, it is still so good....
A Reissue Of Nick Lowe's 'Labour Of Lust' Is 'So Fine' : NPR
This is just a heads up.
Pitchfork: Pitchfork to Stream LCD Soundsystem's Final Show Live From Madison Square Garden
Tickets for the last show at MSG sold out in half a second. They were listed on StubHub for up to 11K. No one with any actual intent to go to the show got a ticket. I'm counting on the scalpers not knowing what they got themselves into and selling for face the night of. The link above will be my back up plan.

Catchy tune here.
The Weeknd.
Dark and forboding R&B by some kid who's kept himself anonymous up to this point. Lots of cocaine and dirty sex. Basically, it's the soundtrack to Maine Mike's typical Saturday night...
not new but very good for rainy days:
Dan Fuller, local bicycle enthusiast
Local boy John Cruz.
a few years old now.
At the recommendation of Mr. Spooky ....
Also been listening to a little Strongarm a few times a week. Musically - they were pretty good for their genre.
