Re: Edoz Bicycles
I got some pics of this dirt road bike all built up and ready to roll. It's already seen a couple of cross races and some heavy commuting. Temp spray black until the budget allows for Spectrum.

Re: Edoz Bicycles
I gave myself the gift of Bike Cad Pro this holiday season. Hopefully once I get everything figured out, it'll help me step up my game.

Re: Edoz Bicycles
Report back from Tony, one of my racers:
"finally got some trail time on my local/home trail. This frame is so butter smooth and comfortable. I cant imagine why I didnt get rid of tha GF rig ages ago. I got in 23 miles and no aches or pains in the knees or back like before. Lots of compliments on the frame too, especially the internal cable routing."
He also secured a fourth place (14 sec behind 3rd, and same # of laps as 1st & 2nd) in the Isle du Bois 6hr as a 2 man team with Edoz/Big Pig racer Brian.

Yo Eric, it was great to meet you at nambla, get yourself a gasfluxer I mean it, life changing. When are you coming out to Oregon, we have some single track just waiting for ya. Rock on!

Re: Edoz Bicycles
Yo Ed - Good meeting you and NAHBS, too. If you really, really want a gasfluxer, I've got one for you.

Got one incoming. I want to get up there to Bend soon, but don't know when I'll be able to. Jason was just asking me the other day if any shops down here are hiring, I guess he needs some fill in work until the bike biz picks back up. I told him he could have my job for a month and I'd come up there for a vacation. Too bad my employer wouldn't go for it.

Like anything, there's a definite learning curve to finding all the right buttons/menus/tools in Bike CAD. But it's awfully quick and easy and 100x more dynamic than a piece of paper. Make your own templates to speed things up. I requested a wire (King) cage be added to the program.
Hey cool bilam and blood shots. Connor used to have a pic at the Vendetta site of a punctured finger...one-inch and larger hypodermics we make. Vet wrap is the best bandage. Super glue can replace stitches.
Cool to meet you at Austin. Are you going back there in October?

Re: Edoz Bicycles
I am, I'm hoping to have a couple more bikes at the Tx show this year. I brought 2 and a frame last time, so maybe 4 and a frame.
I'm starting to get comfy with BikeCad, but I'm kinda bummed that there aren't any forks in the library. I guess I'll need to take some calipers down to my lbs and measure a few models.
The fit part of it is pretty sweet, although sometimes it seems like the picture of the person doesn't reflect the measurements I've input. I basically do a lot of second guessing and double checking.
I bought a head tube reamer recently, too. It's an IceToolz brand, not sure how the quality is. If it lasts me 10 frames I'll be happy.
Right now I've got peeps beating down the door wanting frames and an insurance guy who hasn't called me back. I wonder what the cosmos is trying to tell me.

Does the person always look to big? This so messes with my mind! I cacl fit's using about 4 different methods because BC always throws a wrench in it for me. Although in 99% of my roadbike fits, BC recommends a TT length that is about 1cm shorter than what I use and get from other methods of fit and I like to run shorter TT lengths. Everything else is usually very cohesive across the board though. It is a very nice tool have in the arsenal.

Re: Edoz Bicycles
Not much updating here recently, and I suck for that. I have been busy, and I should follow Garro's lead and copy blog updates here.
I'm sticking my foot in the water, I put up a pricing page and I'm going to take a couple of orders for delivery later in the year. I'd like to have a couple of customer bikes for the Texas Custom Bicycle Show in October. So #25 will actually be for sale.
P.S. I worked on this page for a couple of hours, trying to make sure it didn't sound like anyone else's pricing page;)

Re: Edoz Bicycles
Awesome. Any chance you'll be in Sacramento next year?

Re: Edoz Bicycles
I'm planning on it, although I almost don't want to have a booth so I can walk around and chit chat. I'll just have to bring someone to watch it for me when I wander off.

Re: Edoz Bicycles
A BRAIN article got my panties in a wad today. So I blogged about it.
A rare soapbox, and a deal… « Edoz Bicycles
The tl;dr version is buy American, and I'll donate $50 to IMBA for every frame I sell. Hopefully they'll get $50 this year.
In other news, I sent my new mtb off to try out a new finish option: film dipping. I should have it back in 2-3 weeks, and I'll post a report and some pics.

Re: Edoz Bicycles
I just finished an interview for the Texas Custom Bicycle Show podcast. If you savvy Facebook here's the link, the interview should be up in a couple of days.

Re: Edoz Bicycles
I believe I saw one of your bikes at the Shenandoah Mtn 100 last week...lugged green navy as I recall. Didn't get a chance to fully examine it but I was happy to find it...

Re: Edoz Bicycles
Yep, that was #10. I'm pretty proud of that one, it was my second frame with lugwork and the head/down tube lug has a cancer ribbon cutout that he had painted pink for his wife. Black Cat dropouts and braze ons for a Crud Catcher on the underside of the down tube.
Powdercoat by Figure Finishing in Manassass park, VA. I'm glad you noticed it.

Re: Edoz Bicycles
I recently did a phone interview with a couple of the organizers of the Texas Custom Bicycle Show and it's now up as a podcast. Yes, I sound like a retard, yes I say "basically" way to many times and the sound isn't perfect. Well, my first interview turned out about as good as my first frame.
texascustombikeshow » I’ve got some ideas…
I wish I'd mentioned Foresta and Huckleberry when they asked me about newer builders I like to see, but I answered all the questions off the cuff so I didn't have any time to properly prepare responses.

Re: Edoz Bicycles
I went and signed up for a Twitter account. @Edozbicycles
My latest build is for a local photographer, and he's hanging out while I work. This should be good.
