for me
the seat lug is the most interesting part of a frame
the curves
the flow of the tubes
I spend a lot of time on this collision of four tubes to one corner of the frame

The rock star is dying. And it's a small tragedy. Rock stars have blogs now. I have no use for that kind of rock star.

Wrapped up Josh's bike and am getting started on a stainless lugged mtb. Then finally it is cross bikes for a while. Here is a complete bike getting picked up tomorrow and some build shots of Too Tall's bike:
Nice lightweight XC bike:
Macro shot of the week (josh's stem):
Nothing as fun as cutting a bike in half after building it:
The weight of the entire rear end made the frame drop down:

Mountain bike/Fly Fishing season is here! It is great to get some dry trail time in after a very wet winter on the roads.
I caught this wild Cutthroat with my Tenkara Rod. The Fixed Gear of Fly Fishing rods!

With no laurels to rest on you've got to take some chances, I think this little guy 29'er may pan out after all. Getting the stand over he needed and trying to slam the chain stays have this thing looking more like a dirt jumper than an xc bike.
The bike heads out to the pacific northwest after paint and parts.
I love boston repping rad handlebars, nice ones on the Firely. I made some as a down time project. Mine turned out a lot more cumbersome looking, surprisingly comfy though. Something I'd like to play with more.
Gotta clean up the yard for some BBQ tomorrow, hope all have a great weekend.
