The lectrickery stuff isn't as much of a challenge as the framebuilding, as it's a lot closer to what I do for a day-job. I quite like my amplifiers though - they make a wonderful racket.

Re: Little Fish Bicycles
We're polar opposites there. Metalwork is my day job, and I suck so bad at electrical stuff that I've been working on rewiring a 1970 Dodge for over a year.

Re: Little Fish Bicycles
Frame number five is assembled ready for paint - I really like them at this stage, before the paint hides all the beautiful detail. This one is built with Columbus Life XL tubing, and Dazza's Cadenzia lugs. I spent a little time working the lugs to get them looking really nice.

Re: Little Fish Bicycles
good to read your smoked out, i remmember a few years ago coming across your site with your first couple of frames on and was impressed and loved the way you knocked up the spray booth, need to make one of those myself as my powder coaters on go slow .

Re: Little Fish Bicycles
Interesting you bring that up. I've been contemplating a substantial rebuild of my booth to reduce the number of nibs that end up in my paint - I was thinking of pulling the fans out, and building a tent assembly off the front, that I can feed with pressurised clean air... I figure by pushing clean air in rather than sucking air out, I'll substantially reduce the particles in the air.

Hey Suzy, I love your work.
I understand what a place in the country is, but what's a chook?
When do you see yourself ready to take frame orders from the masses?

Okay got it. I had some of those a few years back. A sly grey fox nabbed 'em one by one until there were none.

Re: Little Fish Bicycles
A new record in production time - just three months :) That's my third frame this year alone!
The latest one is a little bit all-out though. Worked stainless Llewellyn custodian lugs joining Columbus Spirit for lugs tubing. It might take my fingers a little while to recover from all the polishing. Especially the seat lug.
There will have to be a whole lot of begging before I do another like this.
This one has a matching fork and all :)
Anyway, more pics (plus of the build process) at my blog - Suzys Blog
As for making frames for paying customers, I'm only making them for friends at the mo, by an arrangement where they pay for the materials and a token amount for my time, and they have to be incredibly patient and put up with my artistic whimsies.
I've got a bit of a list to get through before there'll be room for paying customers.
