You can buy the SNK807 BNWT for $70 shipped on eBay all day. I happen to quite like the web band, but if it's not your cup of tea, replace it with a leather band and you've got a great looking watch for less than a lot of folks here spend on a tire.

Thanks. I'm after a Milsub with date, the Kingston is a bit much for me. Edit: Would also be happy with a Sea Fighter with the right combination of dial/hands.

P.S. You want a Blackwater or MMT (same thing), the Paradive is the updated version - you won't find one of those for less than $1100.

Any thoughts on the Seiko Skx 403, it looks a bit smaller and is titanium so it will be lighter. I would like a beat around watch for general wear and the lighter smaller is appealing to me.

I had a SKX403 for a bit. It was very light and had a nice dial - a bit more upscale looking than the SKX007/009 w/ chrome out-lined indices. I wound up selling it because I didn't like the bezel action and I didn't like the small crown. I'm just partial to divers with larger crowns that are easier to set and wind. That one made me feel like I needed tweezers and a magnifying glass to not cross-thread it.

I am developing an appreciation for automatics and scratching my head at the price range of them. What does this have/lack that the $500 Seiko, vs the $3500 Omega? It's amazing to me that you can get a decent automatic with exhibition case-back for under $100.

Very true! A great guy to deal with. I have been for years, long before he started making dials and such.
The Seiko Citzen forum is a good place to learn about these timepieces.

Modified SNKH63J by Yobokies in the Sinnitary style 7s26 movement made in Japan.

It's thinner than the dive watch I got from Joe (it's for sale btw same deal I got) and feels a bit lighter. I like it.

Wheres a good source for a Maratac Bond strap?
