Rody, your vision with masking is amazing. I really like the green on that one. I want to see it built up! Is the inspiration walnut or some kind of fern?

Default long time no see...plenty of action though

Not been hanging out much in the data world, but it doesn't mean I've not been busy.

Here is an early 80's Ritchey Annapurna that was stricken with the rusty cancer...holes in the seat tube, down tube and chainstay. I cut out the seat tube, replaced it and took on brazing up the bb to match Tom's original fillets. A classic white pearl finish for some new clothes and wah lah...

    Also a little tropical fun...

Thanks for the kind words guys.

One of the caveats of working for others is that even if the work request does not particularly trip your trigger, you need to work to find inspriration in the customers personality and produce a product that makes them excited.

This Trek fell into that category for me...was not crazy about the colors choosen or the aesthetic of the frame, but the customer is thrilled. That's what it's all about.

    cheers,

    rody

great stuff Rody! but then you know i knew that already.

gotta get up there and check out your new digs and ride that _other_ trail. hey is Kalton (with a k) expressing any interest in any of the processes?

hope the fosterchildrens above get new parents soon.

    Wade,

We'll be having an open house towards the end of September, then the final series race and blow out party on October 15...get some gas for the truck and come on up.

As for Kalten, he is slowly taking on the majority of the Luv Handle production; working the lathe and mitering on the mill. The goal is to get him to coordinate with Christi on the number of orders, have him give me a materials list to order, then provide me with the finished pre-welding parts to stick together. His abilities are increasing, his self motivation...hmmm, got a ways to go :)

    cheers,

    rody

Congrats to Jerone. I'm bidding on an item in Amsterdam--the bike and my thing (somebody is bidding agin me and it could be a Salonista) may pass each other in the night.

Very cool about Kalton. I asked him about his interests at last nahbs and he was a bit "non-committal" with his response. Glad to hear that he's doing and learning. If my dad had been a framebuilder, i'd probably have become a rocket surgeon or geologist...the father/son dynamic is a curious one (in general).

Yes i rolled out of that tent on the Knob pre-dawn last year and was in Columbus _GA_ that evening...for a cast iron surface plate. And we had "car trouble" on the way. I fixed the van at a truckstop we were lucky to roll in to (ford experience yo).

Was good times and I'd like to get back, but I've got to throw a CX together and build another ATB...then I'll solicit some orders and maybe get this ball rolling.

a lovely 62 at sunrise this morning, JAVA!
