Crap - I'm never gonna score that MKII if I'm up against Salonistas. ;-)

Thanks. I'm after a Milsub with date, the Kingston is a bit much for me. Edit: Would also be happy with a Sea Fighter with the right combination of dial/hands.
P.S. You want a Blackwater or MMT (same thing), the Paradive is the updated version - you won't find one of those for less than $1100.

Any thoughts on the Seiko Skx 403, it looks a bit smaller and is titanium so it will be lighter. I would like a beat around watch for general wear and the lighter smaller is appealing to me.
I had a SKX403 for a bit. It was very light and had a nice dial - a bit more upscale looking than the SKX007/009 w/ chrome out-lined indices. I wound up selling it because I didn't like the bezel action and I didn't like the small crown. I'm just partial to divers with larger crowns that are easier to set and wind. That one made me feel like I needed tweezers and a magnifying glass to not cross-thread it.
This 007 modeled after a marine master is beautiful imho. For $250 you can't beat it...

yeah, that's the trouble with less expensive watches...too easy to collect. i need that one above black/black and a yellow to go with my pepsi and orange. (or not!--because then i'd need a winder/keeper)
SO anybuddy have a pal or recommendation on auto/mech service? i'm about due an oil change.
or do i do like i do everything else, buy/make the wrench and vise get out the magnifying lamp and start poking 'round in there? wonder which chain lube? where do i buy a new action when i drop a whisker in this one?
my pair:
sorry for crappy photo/crop- in a rush.
Wade, I highly recommend Jack at IWW for service (especially Seiko). He's done some work for me on several occasions and I can't recommend him highly enough.

One more, Sorry guys, it's not often on this forum I can give expert advise.
On or about 9/7, I will have a yellow 7s divers, on rubber strap, box and papers, about 125. shipped!
But not before, and only to the Salon.
The mkii vantages are back in stock. If my turner had sold I would be buying it now.

I haven't heard any mention of Bulova's mechanical offerings. Are they overpriced mall jewlery store watches, or are the 96-series watches worth considering?
I'm thinking particularly of the 96A111.
I have no idea. Good question. That's why I didn't name the thread "Seiko or Bust".
Anybuddy?
and thanks for the offer jr. but i'm not in acquisition mode presently-unless it's a bike part, food, or a job.
Sometimes I think yall are such a bad influence... it's almost a Sinn ;>) .

It's thinner than the dive watch I got from Joe (it's for sale btw same deal I got) and feels a bit lighter. I like it.
Wheres a good source for a Maratac Bond strap?
Harold is easy to work with and has a huge selection of mods check out his stuff here.
