I like that watch a lot. When I like something and show my wife and SHE likes it, it's a winner. She loves that one. You should get it.

Yes...yes it is. Which is why, after going back and forth multiple times, I've decided on a Planet Ocean. 45mm, black bezel, orange numerals, rubber strap. Will be ordering tomorrow.

You will like it, of that I'm sure. The co axial movement is a thing of beauty.

ATMO; That watch is every bit the watch Rolex is at 1/2 the price. Great movement. beefy case, just all round GOOD.

    Great watch, congrats Dustin!
I really dig the rubber strap with deployant, I'd like to put one on my Seamaster one day, except at $400+ it won't be an impulse buy.

A friend of mine has set me with with Jaime @ Feldmar. He's offering it at $400 less than anyone locally, and has been helpful.

Agreed, 100%. Does your face show a hint of ivory?? Nice. Until recently I would have called the Explorer one of the last of the non-bling Rolex tool watch classics. I'm kind of undecided about the new, larger version. Blinged? I suppose change is inevitable, which is why I'm searching for a no-date Sub right now.

Here is my Explorer II . . .

Two weeks into my test, and it is gaining less than two seconds per day. 10 years since its last service. Amazing.

    I say just the reverse.
I must not spend money from the watch fund!

Hope it works for you better than it works for me!

After debating on the watch, I ended up ordering it Tuesday. Thursday came around and my account hadn't been charged. Called the guy at Feldmar (friend of a friend) and he said it was being processed. So last Friday it ships. Told him I wanted it before this Thursday (leaving for Hotter'n Hell). Scheduled to arrive Tuesday. Perfect. He sends me an email today telling him to call. So I call him....

The FedEx truck that my watch was on was robbed. 3 packages were stolen, 1 being my watch.

    Anyone know anything about these?

The price is right between "No, I never wear watches" and "Yes, I'm going to start wearing watches."

And I think they're gorgeous. How does this look for a beginners first hit on the crackpipe?

Nice watch, I like the black one. The Damasko 36 is another one that has caught my eye in the not quite bargain but not heart stopping range.

I had a Damasko DC56 for awhile, but at 40 mm I found it a bit too small. I traded it and some cash for an IWC 3717, which looks quite similar, but is a bit bigger.

I vote yes, but a couple of questions . . . how big is your wrist? If you are thick boned, you might be happier with a larger watch. Do you plan to wear with euro, brit, or American style suits? I think euro watches look best with euro cut suits. You might also like a pre-owned IWC Mark XVI or a Panerai with a similar style face, but they are completely different watches.
