The rock star is dying. And it's a small tragedy. Rock stars have blogs now. I have no use for that kind of rock star.

A local photographer was interested enough to come over and shoot some pictures this week.
It won't look this good again for a long time, so enjoy it now;)

Some product testing in the men's A Georgia Cross Series.
40 years old in the A's is hard. But I did pick up two customers! Dave Anderson's 29'r CX would be great for cross here in GA!

I guess I've missed a few of these.
Oregon Manifest was a lot of work. And I have a baby boy now.
His and her bikes bound for Japan are being worked on this week.

First post. Big thanks to Richard and the rest of the crew for this site. It's been invaluable as well as a great source of inspiration. April 9, 2011 I began the process of building out my shop:
Shop Report: 4.9.2011 by BLACK CAP Studio, on Flickr
Come June and July I had scored some free windows and was a framing madman:

I wanted power on by this August and I met my self imposed deadline:
Power is ON. by BLACK CAP Studio, on Flickr
Around late September I got all the doors up, my bridgeport in place and a first coat of paint just in time for a moose of all things to smash one of the windows. Yes, you read that right: a moose attacked my shop...
Shop Status: 10/2/2011 by BLACK CAP Studio, on Flickr
It's now October and I put a small finishing touch on the door:

The past two weeks the mill has been running pretty much all day. Chainstay tacking jig complete:

And today I was working on my main tube mitering jig:

Lots more to be done but I'm getting closer each day. Shops a bit spartan but that should change in the coming months. More pics of the shop build out here and also here.

Whar's the jumps?
@02136... well, not really. More like from a hotel room in Providence after the builder's ball.

Flew thru the better half of a 48cm CCX bike this morning but still have a couple things to finish up. Plus a couple of random stay smashing shots.
Since everyone likes pictures I'll do a before and after on my workbench too.
