dooktruck, that wagon is awesome. All original inside, or otherwise? I enjoy listening to the stock AM radio when I drive my truck.

yeah it is all original inside
it got repainted at some point but the paint on it is old
    it was metallic blue originally
gonna have to rebuild the motor and transmission but the body and interior are pretty decent just a tiny amount of rust
it actually doesn't handle that terribly
the electric back window still works i hope that doesn't break

My 8 yr old son has been to San Francisco several times to visit my brother in law. After watching this he said "Yeah Dad, that's how you drive in San Francisco."

F-150 lovers, if you want a steel bodied truck, better buy one soon.
700lb weight savings for switching to aluminum tho, for the weight weenies out there.

Will make for a lovely patina in another 50 years.
I know that our volvo has an aluminum hood and tailgate. They dent at the hint of heavy humidity.

Carbon cars for sure. Laterally stiff and vertically compliant.....or whatever.

Our BRZ has finally arrived. Will attempt to load my road bike in the hind-quarters tomorrow and report the results.

ok, so a 545 ETT road bike (seat at 73cm, front wheel off, pedals installed) fits in the back when the front seat is set to my (5'9") preference...

    slid in fairly easily...

rear wheel is butted right up against the driver's seat in 5'9" short-legged guy territory

Trunk closed with bike and front wheel inside

A 56 may go in there with the rear wheel installed, but handlebar width (mine are 40 c-c) and seat height are also going to be factors. I think a 58cm frame with an integrated seat mast could be quite a puzzle.

Yup. Even with my vertically challenged stature, legroom back there for my kids (a tall 6yr old and a 50% 3yr old) is TIGHT.

Everything you need, almost nothing you don't -

In our case, I guess we didn't need an audio system? - though it does have speakers.

Ugh, me too. But resisting the urge to even sample. I know myself - if I try it and like it as much as I'm (afraid) I would I'll wind up rationalizing it somehow. Wound up with a new pickup under similar circumstances last year...

Put me squarely in the "add 120hp and I'll buy one" camp. BRZ STI better not disappoint me.

We had a pre-production version at my shop and then a very early one on the dyno and it made 166whp. Not bad at all given the weight of the car. On our dyno a 2 liter WRX makes 160ish so if anyone drove that 2002-2005 car and thought it was fast they'd like the power of the BRZ. Yakima is also working on a roof rack now.
