    I like the way you carried the crease on the apron through the legs and the choice of contrasting wood for the legs and top panel. Nicely un-shiny too.

    How is the top panel attached to the apron? It doesn't look like a floating panel; the edges look flush against the aprons. Perhaps it is veneered construction for stability?

    Walnut and Cherry. The finish is Danish Oil and wax.

    The aprons have dados nearly their entire length that capture the substrate for the 1/4" thick sawn walnut veneer.

    Newbie checking out this great set of forums, but had to say that's a gorgeous piece of woodworking and design skills. It works on so many levels. I hope you're still turning your hand to wood.
