Default Lands End throws their hat in the ring...Bike Blazer content.

    Looks good to me.

I like this piece. The extra dash of Hacking Jacket is appreciated on my end. Pass on the mustard sweater though. Good for Lands End. $250.

An honest question -- does anyone see the use for bike-specific tailored garments? If it's a short enough ride, I'd rather use an actual blazer designed to look good when I'm walking around, and if it is a long ride, then I'd rather just change clothes.

But what if you go for a weeklong bike tour and in the middle of it your boss calls and fires you, so you decide to up sticks and just live somewhere along the tour route, and need to look good for a job interview?
Without that blazer, man, you're F'd.

No, not at all. That doesn't mean the above blazer doesn't look good and I don't kind of still want one.

I can better understand the cycling pants craze. Reflective material inside the cuff, or in the pocket lining. A bit of stretch, strategically placed seams, reinforced seat, etc. You can ride a few miles across town for a casual dinner, or to a casual workplace, and be comfortable and still dress appropriately.

If it is cold enough to be wearing a jacket where are his socks?

Whale cord collar? Snark. Other than that it is attractive and were it made in a tall size I would not return a chanukkah gift.

I also get the pants, too. I think that makes sense. Even discounting the possible fit issues, and lack of any measurements on the site, the rear pocket and myriad buttonholes on the jacket bug me. But it is much better looking than that Rapha POS. I think I'd just rather have a side vent lightweight tweed (for tweed that is) jacket than one of these hybrid things.

Part of me is just scared that there is someone out there that doesn't realize that the Rapha blazer and a pair of Quoc Pham shoes isn't business appropriate. But maybe that doesn't matter. An old friend posted pictures of her recent super low key wedding. Her husband was wearing a hoody. I guess a Rapha blazer and Quoc Phams is a million times more appropriate than that.

..aaaaand now Outlier. Though to their credit, no photos of the blazers on bikes. (No affiliation, though I do like my Outlier hat.)
