    I was thinking a Volvo 122.

Probably one of the best car for the job and definitely in my wish list but hard to find in the price range.

EDIT: found a toyota starlett 1300 model 1985 near my job, may have a look at it but I need to check if they were still using carburetors. Boring car but should be pretty reliable.

I'm beginning to consider the possibility that some of us were separated at birth.

Not even a Lotus Cortina? Any car good enough for Jimmy Clark is good enough for me.

Have I mentioned my desire for a late-70s F250 Highboy?

Seems perfect for driving less than 45mph, when the weather is warmer than 25 but cooler than 80. So, in Minnesota it would be good for about 3 months a year. Awesome.

Jason. She's purty. Make a nice grocery getter for sure.

I said I wasn't going to ask this here but here goes. I've been test driving alot of SUV'ish automobiles and there is alot of garbage out there. Just got back from driving a very low miles Jeep Overland V8 and color me impressed. Look, we don't drive much so gas mileage is not a huge deal. It's got some giddy up, the ride is very decent. If and when we decide to go play that's a worthy vehicle and with seats folded it fits bikes. What's not to love? I don't know alot about that mopar engine or the tranny. It is a 2012 Overland 5.7. Go for it.
PS - The VW Toureg is junk and super not impressed with the Audi Q7 which is too puss n' boots for us.

My worry would be the mopar dna in that. How long to you figure you will be keeping it?

Thanks for this info. I've been wondering about the new Escape. I had a 2001 which was great. Also, always thought the Kuga looked cool when I've been in Europe.
