Sometimes the New Year spring clean comes up trumps. Found a watch my father gave me a long time ago. An ex Ministry of Defence Hamilton Geneve. Nothing too fancy but a nice simple reliable military watch from 1974.

I made two mistakes at lunch the other day. I stopped in Honus's shop and saw a beauty of Tag on sale 40% off...
And then I stopped in the Ball shop and they had this, The EMII DLC 41mm, perfect for my dainty wrists. In my opinion, the perfect watch.
Neither is really in the cards right now... But man that DLC is calling my name.

Love that Heuer Silverstone. Lucky I'm 15,000 km away!
new ingenieur collection released tomorrow!
Joe- sorry I missed you when you stopped by. I'm kind of surprised that Silverstone is still there- it's a really nice size/weight watch. I will say that it's definitely the kind of watch that you have to try on first- it either works for you or it doesn't, especially in the blue color as it's quite a bit different color in person.
Not feeling any of the new Ingenieurs. The carbon one is an abomination.
The tourbillon and perpetual calendars are kinda interesting. I agree 100% on the carbon model. Horrible.
Imagine what it's like for me working here- LOL! All of these beautiful watches I'll probably never own...
I used to have that same model Breitling- Avenger Seawolf with Ti case (mine had the rubber strap.) Wore it every day for six years. Awesome watch and about as indestructible as watches get. It's too bad they no longer make it with the Titanium case as the steel version is quite a bit heavier.
New ticker.

An article from this morning's european edition of WSJ on the watch gathering at SIHH in Geneva.
Someone really needs to snag this Benrus Type I Class A before I doing something stupid and dive into my Gaulzetti fund.

If you have ever wanted a Bill Yao Mark II Blackwater or Paradiver, this is the watch that those are an homage to.
yeah that'd be awesome as a collector piece, but with that pita crown im happy to stick to the MKIIs for daily use.
laughter has no foreign accent.
Can anyone recommend a good two watch winder?
Cheers,
-Joe
