I want to talk about it more. We can't let our friend drive a fiat panda. I vote for a 128i. Second choice would be a gti or maybe that new fiesta srt. Please help our friend!

1979-1983 911 SC (3.0 with Jetronic) or 1984-1989 911 Carrera (3.2 LH-Motronic). 87-89 are best because they have G50 transmissions. Great in the snow with snow tires. Cheap to own, but oil changes are $85 if you do them yourself. Don't get a targa.
Second choice would be a Iso Fidia 350, because I know a good Italian/Chevy independent in Fairfield County.
I thought he wanted something new. I am still waiting for my 128i but I did buy an m3 bushing kit today.
He should take my 1993 civic hatchback and drop a ford engine in it, or add a turbo tuner crap thing to it. Completely incognito, but with 220hp.
"yo snizzle, never popped at the train station yo, but hommey's homeboy has ran 9's in the 1/4 and I'm 2 car lengths behind him so I gots to be in the 10's"
you guys are hilarious
all of this advice makes me want to skip the abarth and go out and buy a panda, that would be awesome and a winner at the yacht club
btw, was there something offensive in the last thread or was someone drunk moderating?
Auk's words to live by:
Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
Btw can someone change the thread title to my handle so this selection of idiocy is just the third or fourth hit on google for the next 20 years?
If you don't get the 500, get the G-Wiz. Its not really an electric car because to get around safety issues it is designated a quadra cycle.

Save the v12 for later during the mid-life crisis. The Abarth is like a little puppy. The 128i is a purebred, but a neutered purebred. You don't want that. Puppies are more fun.

get this so your family can sag you out next time you flat on a dirt road:
my name is Matt
Marc,
As long as you continue to have vivid dreams of Catrinel Menghia, there's no need for the Abarth.
Ride more, drive less and dream more.
