What tires are you going to use? That spec was predicated on 650b x 42mm slicks and 54mm knobbies

As far as front center, with 700C wheels and my need for a slack seat tube, My size 12 shoes force me in to a longer top tube to eliminate TCO.

A slacker seat tube should always mean the physical top tube gets longer to keep the wheels in the same place, it'd be very silly to make the actual bike shorter just to preserve a virtual measurement

It's pretty hard to get TCO on a low-trail bike, you'd have to be quite short and be using very big tires

Basically the same tires as on your bike ... Hetres and 50mm knobbies.

Not really, my 58 cm 700C bike has a 575 mm top tube, 72d STA/73 HTA and 60mm rake fork. With 34mm tires and no fenders there was overlap .
Front center is 608mm.

I also have my cleat in the rear of the spd slot.

The new 650B bike will have a 58.5 top tube and similar angles. With the smaller overall wheel diameter I should have no issue even with fenders using the Hetres.

On my new bike I have 4cm of room between my toe and a bare Hetre, with cleats slammed all the way back on 44.5 Sidis and 180mm cranks.

I love the front kickstand:




with the front lowriders it descends like a bat out of hell too

and with the tent poles there, they make a great elbow rest when getting in a full tuck

Yeah went from 12cm -6° to 13cm, mounted 1cm lower

I'm thinking about building a custom stem to parallel the TT exactly and integrate a decaleur, might want to go longer/lower

First I need to try a new old handlebar that's deeper in both dimensions (165mm drop, fuck compacts forever)

Details on the bag? I can't wait to use mine. I've just been staring at it and carrying stuff in it off the bike for kicks.

It's a prototype for the Ozette that I got when I was sharing a tradeshow booth with them, the waxed canvas makes it pretty heavy

It's also missing any attachment mechanism (they later settled on velcro), I'm currently using a strap to hold it down but at some point after I add some brazeons to the rack I'll be using some special boat hardware to attach it.

The bosses on the rack are 7/16" OD 4130 tapped M6

The little aluminum linkage plates are important, it's possible to avoid them for positioning but dyno lights REALLY need to be sandwiched from both sides. Chopping up the arms of a shitty centerpull is the best way to do this, I'll do that on mine after paint.
