Thought I would put up a new addition to the family: a mk2 Nassau on a blue leather Wood&Faulk strap (solely because I have been defeated by taking links out of the mk2 chain).

Today is a #mk2 Nassau on a Wood&Faulk blue leather strap kind of day. by TomEats, on Flickr

If anyone is interested we got a nice used Breitling Chrono Cockpit in for sale. It was originally purchased from our store in July last year. Has all papers, original box and extra bracelet links. Size is around 39mm. I'll refinish the bracelet if someone wants it. The original purchase price was $5170 and my boss will let it go for $2K.

Here is my Ball. 43mm. I like this brand because the watches are very well made and they fly under the radar. photo (14).jpg

Milgauss is a cool watch. The green glass is neat, though I worry I'd get sick of it in time. I've had my eye on the Explorer for a while, but a new watch just isn't in the cards right now.

If you're into bells and whistles, there's this. Totally affordable too.

About messed my pants when I saw that this morning. Aesthetically not my gig, but the complications. Oh my god.

Right?! A simple chrono is about as complex as I like in a design, but that watch blew me away.

I like that you have to take it off to read the back. Sort of like a flip/flop hub?

I don't ever want to see that watch. Well maybe see it, but never work on it.

That's a busy movement for sure!

I'm surprised at how many 100K watches exist, and how many end up on Hodinkee.

-Dustin, I'd go used if you go IWC. The prices on the new ones are insane!

IWC is one of those brands that I don't quite "get." The prices are high but the watches are not really iconic or truly special.....in my mind. Now a Planet Ocean, Speedmaster, Millgauss...I totally get it.

Man, that is one ugly watch. I really hate it when I have to concentrate to identify the time on a watch. If I can't tell the time at a glance, it's not the watch for me.

Absolutely. I really enjoy watches with many complications as a fan and onlooker. I wear a basic diver most days and a simple chrono on other days, but I would love to get my hands on that to see how all the features work. I bet setting it is a nightmare.

OK. So is there another pilot chrono with a day/date feature like the IWC Pilot Chronograph has? The 3717 is pretty much perfect, except 5K+...

I don't see hardly any other day/date chronographs out there.

Sorry for the bad picture. Was browsing the forum while tacet.

The watch is a muhle glashutte (you don't get the umlauts) terranaut chrono. I like it quite a bit.

The sax is a King Super 20 with the silver bell (but standard neck). It's been on tour with Chick Corea. I really don't deserve the thing... I play it so seldom. But I couldn't bear to part with it at this point.
